Self-study
Free, slow, lots of YouTube. Works for handy people who already understand soldering or welding from another trade. Plan on four to eight weeks before you're comfortable welding on a friend.
Online certifications
Structured courses ($200 to $1,200) with video, scripts, and a private community. Best for artists who want a clear roadmap without traveling. Skip any course that won't show you the actual welder settings on screen.
In-person training
One- or two-day intensives ($800 to $2,500) where you weld under a coach's supervision and walk out with a kit. Highest cost, fastest time-to-confidence. Ideal if you plan to launch within ninety days. Our training page lists upcoming dates.
